How to add your name to the annual census

To add your information to the City of Boston's Annual Resident Listing, you have two options:

You must be 17 years of age or older to fill out a form. With our online form, you can only add information for one person at a time. Please make sure your information is accurate.

  • By not responding to the Annual Census, a person's voter status will be changed to INACTIVE. By responding to the Annual Census, a voter's status will remain ACTIVE.
  • Completing the online does not register you to vote. You can learn how to register to vote, or call 617-635-3767 for more information.
